ISF-UNESCO Storytelling Competition Initiated
A major collaboration between ISF and UNESCO, the ‘World Tales Story Competition’ is aimed at developing a sense of imagination in children, and promoting shared values on a worldwide basis.
The Story Competition, which will be formally announced shortly, will be rolled out step-by-step, and will eventually include children in 182 countries, and in more than 11,000 schools in five geographic regions.
We are tremendously excited about this project, because of its ability to champion the extraordinary power of stories and storytelling, bridging societies the world over.
Winners will be announced in late Spring, and will be invited to the award ceremony held in the Great Hall at UNESCO headquarters in Paris. The event, in the presence of UNESCO’s leadership and the international media, will be an opportunity for ISF’s contribution to the humanities to be showcased.
Winning entries will be published in a special edition – helping a new generation of writers to gain a first step on the publishing ladder.
